Paper Submission and Review Process

All the papers will be blind submitted (author’s names are not allowed) in English. All submissions will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee, for originality, technical content and relevance. The final acceptance will be based upon double blind peer review of the full-length paper. IMPORTANT: Camera-ready versions with more than four authors will not be accepted for publication.

All accepted papers will be published in one of the following two journals:

Special Issue of the Journal CyS (Computación y Sistemas), ISSN print 1405-5546, ISSN online 2007-9737 (Indexed by Scopus, in Master Journal List, THOMSON CLARIVATE).

IJCOPI (International Journal of Combinatorial Optimization Problems and Informatics), ISSN: 2007-1558. (Indexed in leading academic databases including ESCI (Web of Science), CONAHCYT, SciELO, Redalyc, DOAJ).

Publication Norms

The papers must comply with like the followings:

• Admitted word processors: MS-Word file.
• Page Size: Letter (8.5”x 11” ), maximum:12 pages; margins: left 2.5 cm and right 2 cm ; top 4 cm and bottom 3 cm; use only one side of the sheet (no double side printing). Text: Two column and single space.
• Authors: First name, and two last names. Then, in consecutive lines: workplace’s name and address, and e-mail address.
• Font Type: For Regular text: 10 point Arial. Original title 14 pt and translated title 12pt/cursiva, Sections 12 pt, Subsections 10 pt, all in boldface.
• Abstract/Resumen: Minimum 100 words and maximum 150 words, straight after in Spanish.
• Keywords/Palabras Clave: Placed after the abstract, in boldface and no more than 10 words.
• Photographs, Schemes, Drawings, Tables and Figures: Must be placed within the text area (not on separate sheets in JPG format). Photos must be of high quality with B/W or color, well defined and contrasted.
• Formulas: In a table without borders, not centered, numeration justified to the right, all in boldface.
• References: Following the instructions of the Chicago Manual of Style, 1993, chapter 15. Alphabetically ordered by last name of first author, in the following manner: “ …following the notation presented in Rosenfeld (1979)”, ”… as described in the aforementioned book [Matheron and Wells, 1975]”, “ … concepts that are explained in the literature [Vázquez et al., 1994; Caballero, 1997]” …

Language

Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors whose native language is not English are recommended to seek the advice of a native English speaker, if possible, before submitting their manuscripts.

The papers should be submitted electronically at the Microsoft CMT system: CMT – LKE2026.

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and to present the communication at the conference, if it is accepted.

Size

Registration fee for authors includes publication of a paper of up to 12 pages. For each page that exceeds this limit small extra fee will be charged. If your paper exceeds 15 pages, please contact the organizers first. The additional fee is charged for the pages exceeding the page limit in either the version submitted for review or in the camera-ready version, whichever is greater. In particular, you must not shorten the camera-ready version in comparison with the version submitted for review unless the reviewers required this (contact us if you feel you should do shorten it; in any case this would not reduce the fee). However, we encourage you to use as many pages as you really need for an excellent paper, even if you will pay a very small fee for it — that it, we recommend you not to sacrifice clarity and completeness of your paper for the page limit.

Double blind review policy

The review procedure is double blind. Thus the papers submitted for review must not contain the authors’ names, affiliations, or any information that may disclose the authors’ identity (this information is to be restored in the camera-ready version upon acceptance). In particular, in the version submitted for review please avoid explicit auto-references.
